Five & Dime Drama Collective is now accepting new ten-minute plays (ones not previously submitted to us) for the upcoming 2021 fall performance series. Deadline Saturday July 31. There is no fee to submit.

Submission requirements

• Previously unproduced ten-minute play (workshopped OK) that can be staged as a "world premiere."

• Limit one play per playwright

• Author must live within a 3 hour drive of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

• Play must fit within 10-15 minute, or less, performance time frame, no exceptions

• 12-page maximum limit, excluding cover page and/or character/scene breakdown pages

• Maximum 4 characters

• Minimal set

• Sent electronically as PDF or Word file attachment

• In the subject line, please use this format: Submissions - Title of Play - Your last name

• Submit to fiveanddimedrama@gmail.com

• Deadline Saturday July 31

In your submission cover only, please include:

• Author's name, contact information, including email, phone and *city/state/country (*This information is used only to determine our reach and is optional.)

• Character list

• Short synopsis or log line

• 100 word or less bio (strictly enforced)

• Tell us what website, newspaper, etc., you saw this notice, and if you have submitted to Five and Dime Drama Collective in the past.

IMPORTANT: All submissions will be sent to readers/evaluators under BLIND (anonymous) author cover. Please make sure all pages are paginated and author's name does not appear anywhere in the script. Each script will be sent to the readers with only an assigned ID # and its title. Hint: the closer you follow the instructions, the quicker your play gets to a reader.

We expect to make the finalists announcement by or before August 31. Performances will be in Mid November.
